About Us

Bamboo Co. Nursery is a wholesale/retail nursery and arboretum on approximately 50 acres of rolling hills located off of Highway-25 between Folsom and Franklinton, Louisiana. We have been growing bamboo here since 1997.

Specializing in Bamboo, we offer container grown, Bagged in burlap (B&B), and field divisions.

Both clumping (Pachymorph) and running (Leptomorph) bamboos are available.

Moso, a giant Chinese timber bamboo, is the largest of the Leptomorph bamboos and is capable of exceeding 70-feet in height here in Louisiana. The Bamboo Company offers both seedlings and field divisions of this majestic bamboo. After viewing our Moso grove you will understand why we named our web site after this plant.

While our species list contains approximately 100 bamboos at any given time, we offer over 200 species through a cooperative arrangement with several other bamboo growers in the region. If we don’t grow it, we will help you locate a nursery that offers the species you desire.

Bamboo Nursery exercises care to correctly identify our plants; however, no warranty is given, express or implied as to the variety or productiveness of the plants we sell.

We assume no liability resulting from contingencies beyond our control. Nor does the Bamboo Company provide any further guarantee as to the long-term survival of your plants as we have no control over the care they receive after purchase.

PAYMENT

The Bamboo Company Nursery accepts cash, cashier’s checks, certified checks, mastercard, visa, or personal check with photographic identification.

PICK-UP POLICY

Call ahead and we will make every effort to have your order ready when you arrive, thereby allowing you more time to walk through our bamboo groves or attend to your business.

Should you request, we can place a courtesy call to let you know when your plants are ready for pick up.

Delivery is available.

CONTRACT GROWING

We would be delighted to contract grow bamboo plants for any of our customers. Please let us know what you need and we would be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.

NURSERY TOURS

Many of our clumping bamboos may be viewed in a residential setting in Mandeville, Louisiana in order to assist customers visualize how their plants will appear in a few years.

Tours of our nursery, are available to our customers upon request. Please call ahead to ensure that someone is available to act as a guide during your visit.
